Interview on Change
Excerpt from an Interview with Bob Zanotti from Swiss Radio International,
Bern (1999) on Change.
QUOTE
B. Why is change necessary?
M. Change is a universal law of nature. Everything is in a constant state
of change and flux. Nothing remains as is. Stagnation means death.
B. But a lot of the changes we are going through presently have to do with
destruction, crime, poverty, violence, a lot of negativity. Why is that?
M. We are currently living through major cosmic changes and these cosmic energies
influence our world in every way. We are going through a change of the ages, from Pisces
to Aquarius, and what we are literally experiencing is the destruction of the old world
and the birth of a new world. We can say our planet is going through labor pains.
B. Pisces age, old world and aquarius age, new world, can you elaborate on that
please?
M. Every new age has its characteristics and the Pisces age energies were for
separation, duality, selfishness, individuality and authority. We went through industrialism,
wars, political and religious fanatism, etc. The new energies of the aquarius age will see
us going towards a world of harmony and unity on every level, of sharing, goodwill, group
consciousness and globalization. An excellent example is the internet. We are living through
this chaos of change, some of us knowingly and others unknowingly depending on our state of
consciousness. The transition of the ages goes over a few hundred years, and during this
time both the energies, which are contradictory, are influencing our planet and mankind.
This explains the catastrophes, general chaos and personal upheavals.
B. So there isnt one moment when this change will happen, and the end of the
world by the years 2000 as some people are expecting?
M. No it will not be like that at all. The major change will be within the individual.
Growing in awareness one changes ones ideas, thoughts, habits and actions.
B. Why is it that you are so full of optimism while others are so afraid?
M. Fear is actually nothing but ignorance of knowledge. If one is aware of certain
knowledge then there would be no need to be afraid. A part of my work is to do intensive
research and reading, in the field of metaphysics. Humanity has the freedom to make the
choice for its own future through collective consciousness. This explains the major move
towards esoterics worldwide. When collective consciousness is positive then it will outweigh
the negative. Mankind on the average is far advanced mentally than ever before, people are
educated more than ever before in our history, and through modern technology we are able to
communicate globally in an instant. Through TV and internet the whole world is in touch and
involved. All of which is very positive.
B. Journalism is synonymous with bad news what can we do about that?
M. This is indeed very unfortunate, the media does spread negativity around. It is
very disturbing, because we all know how this works, fear begets fear and negative energy
begets negative energy. The media has a great responsibility and somewhere along the line
they will have to change. I am not convinced that the majority of people want to hear news
about violence and catastrophes only. There will have to be a change in leadership, and new
far sighted, open minded managers with a holistic vision will find other ways to do it
different and better.
B. You coach some leaders and managers too. I understand that you must be discrete
about this and you cannot name any names. But what is your experience? Are leaders open
to these new ideas?
M. I find that many are open and would like to know more, but because of peer pressure
they are afraid to talk about their beliefs openly. Many have the erroneous idea that the
whole subject of esoterics is nothing but abracadabra which has to do with tarot cards and
perhaps even black magic and so on. This is a great shame because then they will remain
ignorant. I believe that they should at least show some curiosity and interest in the
subject of esoterics and metaphysics, if only to widen their horizon and expand their
knowledge of life.
B. In what way?
M. Well for example, we are going through a process where humanity is to develop
the sixth and seventh sense, the mind or understanding and intuition. We have the five
physical senses and now we need to develop two extra sensory senses. Ive written
about this in my book Visions Unusual. Intuition is often mistaken for instinct. Instinct
we humans share with animals but intuition animals do not and cannot have. Intuition is
on a higher dimension of intelligence and when we are in touch and in tune with this level,
there is no limit as to what we can do.
B. How can we achieve this?
M. Through discipline, training, meditation, practice, reflection and
understanding.
B. Can you give us some pointers?
M. Well first one has to want to grow, to expand and develop. Then one needs
to make the effort to reflect, observe and meditate to make contact with the inner
self. Its called expansion of consciousness. Often when we are too lazy to make a
conscious effort to grow, accidents occur. Accidents occur to remind us to stop and
reflect.
B. Margo it was nice talking to you again. Thank you.
